Tres was called yesterday to the Family and Church History Mission in Salt Lake City. He will report on February 5 (11 days from today-no preassure huh?!) to Salt Lake where he will receive two weeks of training before he heads to his first zone. We are thrilled with his decision to serve and know the Lord has found the place where he needs to spend the next two years serving in the kingdom.
YES, WE REALLY DO HAVE EIGHT!
YES, We Really Do Have Eight!
I love babies. When my babies hit their first birthday, I long once again for that tiny helpless little person that smells like baby powder and doesn't squirm away when you're staring at his beautiful little face. Now don't get me wrong. I love the other stages too. I laugh out loud when I hear the jibber jabber of his first words (Jackson). I giggle when I see one dance hysterically when she hears a Justin Bieber song (Bekkah). I beam with pride when she puts gospel principals into action as she prepares for her upcomming baptism (Emily). I am amazed over and over as he accepts and conquers challenges far beyond his years (Ammon). I burst with pride as I watch his determination and drive in all that he sets his mind to (Zane). I melt when I see the empathy, and concern she has for others (Mckenzie). I have to catch my breath when I see him snuggle with his baby brother (Zachary). I am amazed as I read his letters from his mission (Tres). I guess I just love it all. And this is why I have, despite my horrible pregnancies, we have eight beautiful, talented, amazing, wonderful children!

California Trip Winter 2009
For Christmas this year we were given the opportunity to go to Sea World (thanks Grandpa Rick!) This was our last chance to have a family vacation before Tres leaves on his mission. We had a wonderful time spending four days together in Oceanside.
We definetly made some memories!
We stayed in a beautiful resort:
It was about a five minute walk to the harbor,And another five minutes to the beach!
We had a blast at Sea World --took us two days to see and do everything! We saw shows,

Pet the sea creatures,
Played on the rides!
Got pretty wet on this one!
On our last day we spent the morning at the beach.
We built sand castles,
climbed on the rocks and relaxed.
The water was cold! Really cold!
Zach and Ammon won the Polar Bear Award for going all the way under!
We definetly made some memories!
