Today was Zane's first day at ASU. He earned a scholarship to attend a robotics class there. He'll be learning programs like Alice and Mindstorm. His dad drops him off at the bus stop by his work in the morning, and he takes the bus home in the afternoon. I have to admit, sending my 11 year old on a city bus all alone was pretty scary. Visions of crazy people, missed buses, and a lost little boy getting off in south Phoenix filled my mind all morning. But he walked in this afternoon all smiles, official ASU t-shirt in hand! I'm so proud of him. He works so hard at all he does. Way to go Zane!

That sounds like the coolest program ever--I'm going to have to find out more about it for my kids. And good job to your son for having a great day and a great time. I have to admit I would have worried myself to death too. :)
Congrats to Zane! That is so awesome. Brian says he wishes he had something like that when he was young!
