YES, WE REALLY DO HAVE EIGHT!

YES, We Really Do Have Eight!

I love babies. When my babies hit their first birthday, I long once again for that tiny helpless little person that smells like baby powder and doesn't squirm away when you're staring at his beautiful little face. Now don't get me wrong. I love the other stages too. I laugh out loud when I hear the jibber jabber of his first words (Jackson). I giggle when I see one dance hysterically when she hears a Justin Bieber song (Bekkah). I beam with pride when she puts gospel principals into action as she prepares for her upcomming baptism (Emily). I am amazed over and over as he accepts and conquers challenges far beyond his years (Ammon). I burst with pride as I watch his determination and drive in all that he sets his mind to (Zane). I melt when I see the empathy, and concern she has for others (Mckenzie). I have to catch my breath when I see him snuggle with his baby brother (Zachary). I am amazed as I read his letters from his mission (Tres). I guess I just love it all. And this is why I have, despite my horrible pregnancies, we have eight beautiful, talented, amazing, wonderful children!

A 3 day break???

My friend posted this question...What would you do with a three day break. No kids, no hubby, just free time.

I can dream and say I'd shop, paint the bathroom, organize the basement, maybe even have lunch with a friend, or get a manicure.

But I think if I were to be truthful, I'd just go nuts! I'm never without kids, except dates with my sweetheart. I feel anxious and worried when they are not around. The school day is a little long for me, and I still have two at home. Maybe I'm a control freak. I'm sure they would be in capable hands, I wouldn't leave them otherwise. I'm still struggling with Tres beinging gone, and he's in the Lords hands, how more capable is that!! Now Zach's about to leave and I sigh every time I think about it.
So to me, even a day would be weird, but three, nope, not for me.
(I would like to sleep through the night once though, haven't done that in years!)

The Call

Can you beleive it?! Two missionaries.
Yep, Zachary got his call on Friday. With family and friends gathered at home or via the phone, he opened his letter and read us every word...seriously, even the address. Wish I had a picture of Dan's face when Zach said, "Dear Elder Huston, we regret to inform you..." He has his dad's sence of humor! He reports to the Provo MTC on June 22nd, and will then leave for Boise, Idaho to serve two years for the Lord. Congratulations Zach.
